Maria Xenochristou: Secondment to KWR
In April 2018, Maria spent 2.5 weeks in Utrecht, Netherlands, working at KWR. During her visit, she applied the methodology she developed at the University of Exeter on data from 9 locations in the Netherlands, in order to identify relationships between several weather variables and water consumption for different types of households and customer characteristics. Results highlighted the high influence of radiation and humidity on the water consumption of properties with gardens and affluent residents. Whilst at KWR, Maria summarised the results of the Dutch case study in a conference paper she wrote for CCWI/WDSA 2018.
