Vasilis Koukoravas

Project: Improved leakage related modelling, configuration and operational management of intermittent water supply

Supervisor: Professors Zoran Kapelan and Raziyeh Farmani

Vasileois plans to study here at the University of Exeter for the duration of the WISE programme in order to complete his research project with Professor Zoran Kapelan. He graduated with a MEng in Civil Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens in 2017, majoring in Hydraulic and Environmental Engineering. His dissertation was titled: ‘Stochastic analysis of the spatiotemporal variability of precipitation in the Mediterranean region.’

Vasileois also undertook a 2 month internship in 2014 at Athens Water Supply and Sewerage Company as a General Assistant in the Water Supply section. Here he was tasked with coordinating external tasks concerning gauges’ repair and replacement, as well as keeping record of repaired and replaced gauges’ outflow and life span.
